Thursday (15th) George heard a rumpus outside and a group of Canada Geese took off very noisily. He looked through the window to see the fish jumping out of the water in the mill stream where we're moored (they do this when they're panicked), but he couldn't see why. Quickly to the opposite window ... and what did he see?
It is of course an Otter!
What a fantastic sight ... neither of us have seen one before!
George thought there may have been two as while I was photographing this one he could see a trail of bubbles on the water at the other side of Still Rockin'.
We're not at all sure where he/they would have come from but think maybe from the small island below Hambleden Lock cut because he/they would have come over the grass opposite our moorings and caused the Canada Geese to take off, but as I say we're not sure.
We well certainly be keeping an eye out for more visits from this beautiful creature.
