Build day 108

 The wiring is in with lots of tails for joining to sockets, switches and light fittings.
 George has started to lay the insulation over the ballast being careful not to cover the metal bars ...
 ... the space here without ballast bricks is where the water pipes will go from the utility area and bathroom.  The wooden battens will be glued to the metal floor struts to enable the floorboards to be fixed in place ...
 ... nearly finished!
The floor boards have been manhandled into the boat ...
 ... really good quality that will not show the joins under my preferred floor covering.

Work is progressing well now, the floorboards should be fixed tomorrow and the wall boards should arrive tomorrow too ... in the meantime at ...

Lambon Fabrications Steve has started on his next project.  At the end of last week this was just a few metal bars on the floor but is now fast becoming a pontoon boat (house boat with no engine) for the Thames.

Yes I think we are Lesley! It’s not usual to insulate the floor, it was our idea, we thought the more insulation there is the better, especially under your feet!
