Silky black knickers!

Mmm ... that got your attention!
We took a walk yesterday morning along the Northampton Arm ...

... with it’s very smart lock house, we wondered if any of it was the original house.

It’s a pity we never managed to do this lovely set of locks in our previous boat Rock ’n’ Roll

George made a new friend but I think the guy at the front is telling him where to go!

There are two of these drawer bridges but couldn’t really see the reason for them.

We walked 3.5 miles down to lock 15 but then decided to walk the 3.5 miles home again as the River Nene was another 2 miles away and it was too hot for Molly.
After we’d eaten a lovely lamb roast for lunch we set off at 5 o’clock for the services at Gayton Junction, filling and emptying as appropriate.

Chores done we wind (turn) back onto the Grand Union here looking back at Junction  Bridge on our way to the tunnel ...

... passing Candle Bridge (50)

Ooh look, there’s the lovely Bones'
Things got a bit busy as we passed Raymond and Nutfield fortunately the boat coming towards us held back until we were through.
Two hire boats had just exited the tunnel and pulled over one each side of the bend so Still Rockin’ came through the trees!

Moored up outside Blisworth Tunnel for a passage at 8am tomorrow ...

... with 12.5-foot wide hotel boat Tranquil Rose

Just turned 7:30 this morning the C&RT volunteer turned up to see both boats into the tunnel - and here’s Bones with Boots and Wallace to wave us off and wish us a good journey. Great to see you again, don’t work too hard! George says don’t forget to take your Vectors 3 times a day!

 Entering the North Portal
 It’s awfully wet in here!
 Nearly there!
And breath out!

... and the silky black knickers? ...
these and a load of banding tape were what George pulled off the propellor as soon as we’d moored because twice as we came through the tunnel he had ‘lost control’ of the steering!
