Onward to Henley on Thames ... 6th September

Leaving our mooring at Sonning at 9:15 in the sunshine ... and the River Thames is like a mirror
 Soon through Sonning Lock ...
 and approaching Sonning Bridge ...
apart from it being at a skew and on a bend in the river, it always amazes us that we can fit through it ... there's even a few inches to spare!

Through the bridge we recognise that blue boat ... it's nb Pectroc, and we pull over a little to say hello and cheerio to Gill
I wonder if anyone came to collect?
Looking back ... it's a very pretty bridge

Arriving at and leaving Shiplake Lock
Built by Steve Lambon ... same as Still Rockin'

Marsh Lock ... third and last for today.
By 11:15 we've moored up immediately past the lock ...
with good views all around us ...
and it's a handy place for Tesco which is just a short walk away.
15:30 ... shopping done and lunch eaten we decide to move further down the moorings closer to the town centre for a bit of retail therapy in the morning.
Where the views are even better

opposite the pretty properties on Rod Eyot.
