Build day 120

New member of the team - John the carpenter started today ...
... on the bedroom/bathroom bulkhead - that’s half of one side in ...
... the corridor bulkhead (left) in too and half of the bathroom/lounge ...
 ...the bathroom area
The bedroom/bathroom bulkhead is complete ...

From inside ...

... the bedroom.
... and the bathroom/lounge bulkhead is complete in no time at all!
Looking from the bedroom through the corridor and into the lounge ... only the kitchen bulkhead to do now!

The corridor between the bedroom and lounge ... the area to the right between the two doors will be the utility and will house the washer and freezer together with plenty of storage cupboards and to the left is the bathroom.

Sunday 30 March 2014

Sunday afternoon ...

... at Hanbury Hall
We spent a lovely couple hours in the grounds just walking; we’ve been stationary amongst ‘humanity’ for 5-months now and we’d forgotten what silence was ... until this afternoon when we were surrounded by it ... it was sooooo nice!
There were lots of fallen trees both newly cut/fallen and old ones ... I’ll let the pictures tell the story of our afternoon ...

Next time I’ll take a look around this early 18th century house

Day 117

The lining-out is nearly finished ...
... and the colours are on in the bedroom although the photos don’t really give a true representation of them ...
... the under gunwale panels really are not the same colour as the brown paper on the floor!

All the plumbing and central heating pipes and accessories have also been purchased today - time to look at radiators!
