Rain water

What rain you might ask ...
When we designed Still Rockin' it was decided not to have the sort of hand rail that also acts as a culvert to direct rain water to run off the roof at specific points, but to have our beautiful, sleek, stainless steel hand rail.  The only problem we've found of course is the fact that now the rain runs down the length of the boat leaving streaks on the paintwork and also on the bow and stern canvases which very quickly turn green and need constant washing.

We've been trying to think of a remedy for the past four years!

On Monday (2nd July) Peter (engineer) came to help George to fix a 'D' shaped rubber strip all along the top edge, lining it up with the band of blue of the sides of Still Rockin'
... and it looks great, as if it's always been there.
All we need now is some rain (not) to see if it works!  I'm sure it will.
George, when walking on Monday spied this chap ...

Alligators .... in Abingdon?

I’ve got some catching up to do here, Carol, but what a brilliant idea? And yes, we could do with some rain, couldn’t we? Water restrictions are coming in here in NL...can you believe it? Here!
