Build day 124

George and I have been out and about shopping today - Bromsgrove, Oldbury, Erdington and Blackpole Worcester - for radiator paint, wet-wall for the bathroom and slate or granite for the hearth plate, so it’s been a busy day for us ...
We stopped in Oldbury for a quick lunch at McDonalds and saw more starlings close up than I’ve seen in a long, long time ...
... these pictures don’t do their plumage any justice at all - they were an iridescent green with bright white spots - and they were noisy! According to the RSPB website these birds have a Red Status which means that their numbers are declining.

Meanwhile back at Still Rockin’ ...

... we have storage steps coming into the bedroom from the bow ...

... and in the engine bay ...

... someone has been very busy ...
... blimey!  call that a spanner ... indeed!!
A Webasto Thermo Top C will provide heating and hot water ...
... in the 15 gallon clarifier which also houses the immersion heater for when we’re on shore power.

Build day 123

 The kitchen area is painted
The radiators have arrived - need to decide what colour I want them!
The large wardrobe is just waiting for the doors ...
... and the other wardrobe is coming along well too.

There has also been progress in the engine bay but you’ll have to wait for those pictures tomorrow.

Build day 122

The carpenter has started building the wardrobes on the bow bulkhead today ...
... it doesn’t take long either!
Bedside table for an early morning cuppa!

George has been busy today too painting the kitchen and helping Stuart to position the fire to enable the hearth to be purchased and measuring the port-side of the bedroom for dressing table and drawers so that all the materials John the carpenter will need very soon are available.

On Friday George and I will go to the supplier of wet-walling for the bathroom and on Tuesday next week the chap who’ll make frames for the windows will visit to discuss what we want ... things are really coming together now.
