Whilst stocking up the cupboards at Sainsbury’s yesterday the rain came down heavy and we made the decision to stay the night there.
It was quite warm when we set off this morning and the smell from the Hawthorn by the mooring took me straight back to my junior school days walking home along the Brookside dirt track. Mum always told us not to come home that way but at this time of year the blossom was too good to miss.
We made the short journey down three locks and are currently moored past the pipe bridges below Nash Mills, this will do us fine until we return to Hemel on Tuesday for an early physio appointment on Wednesday.
