Round the corner ...

Friday 13th!! Leaving our mooring at Kingston just after 9 on a calm, warm autumn morning ... can hardly believe it's October

A few years ago these were all narrowboats
Destination ... just round the corner

30 minutes after setting off, we've cruised about ½ a mile
... to the empty moorings at the palace where we sat on the deck of Still Rockin' and enjoyed the peace and the warm sunshine
Carole and Paul pulled in just before midday and over a cuppa we planned a Friday fish night take-away on Newlands

In the meantime, we (George and me) went for a walk into East Molesey
You can buy a bit of Hampton Court Palace Gate House (freehold!) for a cool £1.1million

Still Rockin' and Newlands
... and a glimpse of the palace taken from Hampton Court Bridge on the way home.

Fish and chip supper on Newlands in the evening to say cheerio to Carole and Paul, they're off home for the weekend but Paul will be back sometime on Sunday, so we may see him then.  If not, we shall look forward to seeing you both next year back here on the Thames.
