There be dragons here!

We left it until 10:30 before we pulled the pins for the last time this year at Medmenham meadows on Tuesday as we're only cruising for just over a mile to our destination.
Some spectacular properties in the short distance, this one nestled in the folds of the hill
... and this one chocolate box perfect!
... and this one ... there be dragons here!

Hambleden Lock to the left but not for us

... we're going right here immediately past the bushes, alongside the white cruiser ...

... and past these two small cruisers, it was a bit tight and a bit shallow too!

... safely past now and we can see our mooring spot on the right behind the small boat you can see there.

... nearly there

trying to get in as close as possible

.... and we're in!  Looking back here the river Thames is about 150 yards in that direction

We are in fact at Hambledon Marina and these are the views around us on our arrival

Hambledon Mill (now appartments) above and the owners house off the lane

The view from the kitchen window with the summerhouse on the
lawn

It feels good to be here and we're both looking forward to our stay.
