A relaxed Tuesday apart from doing a fresh food shop in Abingdon and putting wash loads through the machine but it was ...
all change, for George anyway, on Wednesday (18th July)
washing a few weeks of grime off Still Rockin' but she looks good now!
Thursday 19th about midday we left Abingdon's parched visitor moorings heading once more downstream ...
first winding (turning) the boat ...
and heading for Abingdon Lock
Richie, the lock keeper
Something's going on here on the meadow above Abingdon Bridge but I can't find anything on the internet about it.
Looking back
such beautiful old buildings
Abingdon's Almshouses built in 1446 and still in use for the same purpose today
It didn't take long to reach our destination ... a quiet mooring a mile or so out of town, this'll do us for the weekend.
