Life on the land ... October and November

A day on the water and discovering the country lanes ...

Late September and we had a magical day on the Shroppie with Margaret and Geoff ... pictures above of us ascending Hack Green Locks near Nantwich ... the weather couldn't have been more perfect ... thank you both.
We see some wonderful sunsets from our kitchen window here in Loggerheads.

We have discovered a few new walks around the country lanes and have been thoroughly enjoyed the change of colour to autumn ...

This walk was on the 3rd November

At one point that day we though we were going to get very wet but fortunately the dark clouds blew over

Sooo dramatic!

  1. Seyella hasn't posted a blog since October. It's been even longer since No Problem XL has put in an appearance. Do you know why?

Thank you for your continued posts, even they don't include much water these days!

    Regards,

    Graham

  2. Is this comment from Graham of Francoise of Jill and Graham fame? So far as I'm aware all is well on Seyella and No Problem XL Geoff and Sue are both posting regularly on FB. I notice that Francoice's blog hasn't been updated since July. You could ask them yourself if all is ok.

  3. I'm not a famous Graham, just a boatless person from Paisley who has been following the diminishing number of blogs for a number of years. We have met up with Sue and Sir a couple of times, but never with Geoff and Mags. So my interest in their welfare mainly comes from reading the blogs over a protracted period. When blogs suddenly stop it can sometimes indicate bad news.

I prefer the format of blogs to that of Facebook. I only use FB to keep up with the progress of Lichfield & Hatherton, where I am a member.

My actual boating experience is limited to hire boating on the cut and the Waverley – often from Largs! In my younger days though I have legged the full length of the Dudley Tunnel many times

  4. Nice to hear from you Graham. So far as I'm aware the owners of Seyella and No Problem are in good health. I know that they are in winter mode at the moment and generally don't always post to blogger when they're not cruising so much or cruising the same stretches of water.

What a coincidence that you know Largs!
