The Peak District National Park

We spent a great weekend in Shropshire visiting George's sister and brother in law Paul and on the Sunday George and I made the trip to Buxton to see our eldest grand daughter Louise.
Travelling along the A53 through Tittesworth into the Peak District National Park ...
rolling hills
and craggy peaks ...

The rock formations are amazing!
As you can see it wasn't a bright day and this view is rather bleak
with no colour at all to brighten it up
We spent a lovely day with Louise catching up ...
but all too soon it was time to head back to Shropshire ...
The sun is shining now making the return journey entirely different ...
as we travel through the Peak District National Park's
Upper Quarter ...
back to Shropshire after a really lovely day.

PS:  Geoff recognised the tile pictures on my last post ... not surprisingly as he and Margaret have spent the winter in that area - but what I ask Geoff is ... how many times they have crossed Chirk Aqueduct in narrowboat Seyella?

  1. Unfortunately not yet. It's rather an odd time to be selling anything that is not toilet rolls and pasta ... but we will persevere.

  2. Re the Chirk Aqueduct crossing - I haven't a clue but while we're in lockdown I could trawl back through the blog to find out... When I've a spare several hours!
