We've got a pair ... and Dennis the Menace

We've not seen much of the kingfisher over the past few weeks ...
but I did get a quick snap of this one on Thursday last week (13th) ...
before we set off for our daily walk ...
under a very moody sky ... will we get wet?
Yes, of course we did!
But the rainbow as we walked back was worth it.
We had more rain and sunshine later in the day ...
and another fantastic ...
double rainbow at the marina.
Friday (14th) at 7am was nearly as bright as day ... with the moon ...
and the morning sun's reflection on the clouds
We spent Valentine's day wandering High Wycombe and ate a very nice meal at Blue Grass BBQ Smokehouse where George took this selfie!
Saturday we saw this little fellow.
In past winters here we've saw a lot of the squirrels on the bird feeders but this year they've not been on them at all!

And the 'pair' ...
How good is that!
Storm Dennis has been and gone and left the Thames on red boards  and Still Rockin'

today is very nearly marooned again ... with the pontoon still rising.
I was so lucky to get this photo this morning as this huge cormorant  shot out of the high water with a huge fish in it's mouth.  Unfortunately by the time I'd focused on him with my camera the fish was gone!

  1. Well done for getting two of the blue beauties in the same shot.
