Twenty one degrees and red boards

A walk round Beale Park Lake (15th October) ...
It was chilly, drizzly and dark this morning as I hung the bath towels on the deck with not a lot of hope that they would dry and we lit fire inside ...
but just after noon the sun came out ...
 and we set off
 along the Thames Path
Taken from the little bridge which allows entrance/exit from Beale Park Lake
We couldn't quite believe how warm it was!

 Fungi
Crossing the meadow where events are held during the summer, such as the boat show we came across here in 2017.

From the meadow we walked along a well known path  where we picked the last of the blackberries
 more fungi
and home ... where the towels were now nearly dry!
Ladybirds looking for a winter home in the canvas of the pram hood were soon shooed away
Nearly a pound of blackberries for a winter crumble

Battleship swans
6 o'clock as the sun starts to set ...

Oops!  The reach we're moored on (Goring to Whitchurch) has gone to red boards ... we shall move back up to Goring Lock in the morning.
