Flower Festival at Holy Trinity Parish Church

Cookham - the inspiration for Wind in the Willows
A copy of Sir Stanley Spencer's Last Supper painted in 1920 hangs in the church (the original hangs is the Spencer Gallery)  ...

together with this bas relief by his daughter Unity.

Sir Stanley Spencer was born in 1891 and lived from birth at 'Fernlea' in  Cookham's High Street until attending The Slade School of Fine Art in 1908.

A visit to the Spencer Gallery is a must when in Cookham to see the diversity of his work.

Goldilocks and the three bears.

The whole church smelled wonderful with all the floral arrangements.  The photo's really don't do the real thing justice! (click on any of them to enlarge)
